Bunker vital systems
A living bunker uses up resources. Oxygen, drinking water, rations and energy go down over time and you decide how to keep them afloat.
Four systems that wear down on their own
Oxygen, drinking water, rations and energy go down little by little, even when you are not connected. On the bunker computer you can see how much is left of each one and when it will run out.
Two ways to recharge them
You can pay scrap to recharge a system (change filters, refill the tank, open a box of rations or start the generator) or use supplies you make yourself in the workshop: air filters, filtered water jugs, canned rations and emergency batteries. Supplies restore more than paying scrap.
A system can only be recharged once it has dropped a little: this way nothing is wasted.
If something reaches zero
The bunker breaks down: tasks pay half until you repair the system, and repairing costs some scrap. Nothing is lost permanently: not items, not level, not progress.
Email alerts, if you want them
From the bunker computer you can switch on email alerts to find out that a system is running out. They are optional and designed not to bother you: at most one email a day and none if you have just been playing.
